The Rio is a fabric-upholstered gas-lift storage bed in Single, Double and Queen, with a choice of Beige, Grey, Light Grey and Dark Grey. In every size the whole sleeping platform rises on gas struts to open the storage space beneath the mattress — and because that includes the Single, the smallest bedrooms in the house get the storage they are usually shortest of.

A gas-lift stores in space no other furniture can use. The platform rises on gas struts, stays raised on its own while you load from standing height, and lowers under control, keeping everything underneath out of sight and away from dust. The Double and Queen carry the same idea into guest rooms and main bedrooms — spare bedding, luggage and the seasonal changeover all disappear under the mattress. On colour, the four shades run from a warm Beige through three depths of grey, so the bed can sit quietly against pale walls or anchor a room with something darker. Not every colour is held in every size, so check the combination you want. Whichever way you go, leave room to stand beside the bed while the platform is up, and match the mattress weight to what the struts are rated for.
