Getting the fit right
A lift chair is fitted to a body, not a room. Three checks tell you most of it.
Feet flat, back supported
Sitting fully back, feet should reach the floor and your back should meet the backrest without a gap.
Seat width
Too wide gives no side support; too narrow pinches. The right width depends on the person.
Work the handset yourself
Raise it, lower it, recline it. The controls should feel natural before you commit.
| Range | Built for |
|---|---|
| Petite | Smaller frames — narrower and shallower seats |
| Regular | Most adults of average height and build |
| XL | Larger frames — wider, deeper, heavier-duty |
What weight is a chair rated to?
Ratings vary by model — ask in store for the rating on the chair you are considering.
Can I see one in person first?
Yes — floor stock varies by store, so call your nearest Beds4U showroom and we will tell you what is on display before you travel.
