Before you buy an adjustable bed
Three things worth settling before you choose.
Check your mattress suits it
Pocket spring and foam mattresses generally bend with the base; traditional continuous-coil mattresses generally do not.
Shape, not height
An adjustable base changes the shape of the bed. If getting in and out is the difficulty, an Easy-Access Hi-Lo bed changes the height as well.
Power and position
The base needs a power point within reach of the cable, and clearance to move through its range.
Can one side move without the other?
On split models, yes — each half runs on its own handset. Standard sizes move as one.
Can I see one in person first?
